Australian Wildlife At Last
|
With a Koala named Minty |
|
|
For my final full day in Australia, I ventured to the outskirts of Sydney to see, touch and interact with the panoply
of extraordinary Australian wildlife that has been prancing through my imagination ever since I was a little kid: kangaroos,
dingos, wallabees and emus...as well as creatures I've leanred of only since arriving in Australia: wombats, echidnas,
wallaroos, and more.
Enjoy these pictures of my discovery of these remarkable animals, which took place at Featherdale Wildlife Park.
With them, I bid adieu to the fantastic country, the unbelievabley friendy people and the unforegettable animals of Australia...and
to the profound emotions, new friendships, lasting lessons, and unedeniable pride of being part of Gay Games VI, Sydney 2002:
Under New Skies.
A deeply felt thank you to all my friends and loved-ones (more than 300 hits so far!) who have visited my Olympic
Online Journal to share in my victories, console me in my defeats and discover the magic of Australia alongside me.
I created this journal for you. Thank you for taking the journey with me.
G'Day!
